The journey is the destination

Oops, did the blogger get the caption wrong ?

Yawn, here goes another fanciful blogger who is about to deliver another one of the "profound" philosophies...

Sure , sure...

But let me explain..

Is not the journey a process , a means to an end ?

Sure it is, in that sense...but more often than not,the journey itself can provide us with myriad opportunities to soak in the sheer pleasure of the opportunities/experiences that present themselves if one only chooses to be perceptive and actively seeks that awareness,of the passage of time for the fleeting moments of happiness do not lie in the acquisition or conquest of a goal but in the very process of aspiring and reaching for it, going through the trials and tribulations of making it happen...Achieving it is of course is the icing on the cake...

Poeple can call this work/life balance or introduce Kho-Kho to train cricketers to bring in the so-called dimensions of fun as a maeans to achiev the extra fitness and so on...

Whether one pursues a career in the established corporate world, or is a budding entrepreneur , an amateur artiste or a sportsperson, one always comes across welled up emotions of people being recognised in their chosen pursuits but seldom do these moments reflect the rigours of efforts gone behind to make the dream possible.

Would all these efforts in the name of channelising the energies mean that one has to "sacrifice" the present for the sake of that one moment of glory in future ? can not one achieve both ?At the end of the day, talent plus perseverance in an ambience of good natured bonhomie to be able to appreciate the challenges and soak in the pressures with the pleasures can help one from suffering burn outs like Marc Tresocthick or suffer in agony like Yuvraj...

Enjoying the journey as it were ,so that the destination does not get limited to one event or milestone can possibly help us to make the Journey the Destination.
